| No. However, BRITA faucet water filters do remove microbiological cysts as small as 3 to 4 microns in size, including cryptosporidium and giardia, by mechanical or “barrier” means. Designed with pore sizes smaller than these cysts, BRITA faucet water filters act as a barrier and prevent the cysts from passing through the filter.
